Kabu-Kabus and Ankaras

Following the kidnap and the eventual release of Chief Falae at Ondo state. The whole country has sat up. Every family that considers itself middle class are hell-bent on hiding their middle-classery(Pardon my incorrect grammer). But in the past two weeks we have witnessed the influx of kabu kabu cars on the newly repaired federal road(Sai Baba!!) and the sales of cheap Ankara has gone up.
Everybody wants to look like God hasn't blessed their hustle and so they all cram in little saloon cars like almajiris, sweating like christmas goats, or for a more recent metaphor--- sallah rams while their fully air conditioned Jeeps sit idle at home.

Stop!! You guys are making Nigeria look poor.

But of course you know there is a big problem if you see a sweating couple in a 1998 Volkswagen who have a net worth of 100million.
Mind you!! ... This demographic is based solely on the incorruptible and those who earn and spend clean money.

I can hear the politicians complaining. Sirs, don't worry. I will address you in a minute.

You see, these men of the underworld who stand as a barrier between successful people and their hometowns profile their targets. They like the bourgeois who have virtually no security apart from the car lock of their vehicles. Unlike the 'big boys' who move with convoys and policemen who, with scrawny faces take pleasure with outdoing themselves by hurting the civilians they are supposed to protect.(Power intoxicates much more than alomo.)

This particular case of profiling shows the unsophisticated nature of these kidnappers who have been said to address their victims with utmost respect. And even though it is admirable that these Young men have 'home training'---- they must be dealt with.

But what better time do we have to curb a rising threat than in its crudest form?
This is a classic example of the aphorism --- " a stitch in time saves nine". Let us think Boko Haram, Niger Delta and other unions that have shown Nigeria pepper in the past years. They came from humble and amateurish beginners while being wished away by the government and by prayer without action. They have grown to great heights and have become our dirty laundry in this global community.

And if this current threat is not dealt with, it would become so organized in its pernicious evil that the government will have to offer them amnesty. Because... A country that can't tackle threats must have money to waste.

     To the kidnappers
We understand society pushed you to the wall and you have to push back. And I am well aware   Why not look at these politicians?
Yes. Those guys in agbadas that fight when you try to reduce their paycut.
Chase them and gang up on their siren blowing convoys. They have nothing to offer an they will cower under your hands.
Address them with no respect when they are in your care and demand no less than the 100million that is "your standard".( it is your money anyways!)

Leave our middle class alone!

They love to look expensive when they go home because they worked hard for it, how else are they going to make people at home jealous if they showed up looking like they did ten years ago? Think about it and feel remorse for your actions. What is the point in Working hard if you cannot show off your ride?(I personally don't see the point)

And to the politicians.---- F**k you!!

P.s-
