Bald Blues: A young man's woes

Oh! What unimaginable evil exists on my face
That my hair keeps running back from it
Pores once opened have shriveled to die
As my scalp loses the battle against heredity

Barbers scowl at the sight of my hair
My kind signify dying business
Oh, young men with different styles and more!
Intimidate me, for I will never keep an afro
Or keep a friend that keeps an afro

Bitter blues from a bald head
My hair still runs away from my face
I just hope before I'm dead,
My intellect does not also pick race!
